Open to Work is Skillwaker's anonymous recruitment feature. Turn your validated skills into concrete professional opportunities — without a resume, without exposing your identity, and without alerting your current employer.

Overview

The bridge between your skills and the job market

Open to Work (Professional Visibility) is a bridge between your Skillwaker progression and the job market. It allows partner companies and recruiters to discover your profile based solely on your validated skills — not a traditional, outdated resume.

In technical terms: Open to Work is an opt-in B2B data-sharing option. It authorizes the indexing of your profile in Skillwaker's internal recruiter search engine, in a fully anonymized way. You have full control over your visibility and can disable it at any time.

How to activate

Open your visibility in 3 clicks

Activating Open to Work is done directly from your Neural Configuration (Settings). The process is designed to be as simple and reversible as possible.

Open Neural Configuration

Click the ⚙️ icon (Neural Configuration) from the app's main navigation dock.

Select the Visibility tab

In the settings modal, select the Visibility tab (👁️ eye icon). This is where all your profile's privacy controls live.

Flip the Open to Work switch

Toggle the Open to Work switch to the active position. Your profile is instantly indexed in the partner recruiters' B2B search engine.

Reversible at any time: Disabling Open to Work instantly removes your profile from recruiter search results. No data is retained on the recruiter side after deactivation. You can enable and disable it as often as you like.

Privacy Guarantee: Your email, your real name, and your contact information are NEVER included in B2B search results. A recruiter who discovers your profile cannot identify who you are in real life.

Matching Process

From anonymous profile to qualified contact

When a partner recruiter identifies your profile as a match for their needs, a structured process entirely under your control begins. You are the decision-maker at every step.

The recruiter sends a request

They submit a connection request via the Skillwaker interface, specifying the targeted role and their company.

You receive a notification

A detailed notification presents the company, industry, and nature of the opportunity — with no pressure or obligation.

You choose to reply

If you accept: your contact information is revealed to this specific recruiter. If you decline (or ignore): you remain completely anonymous and no data is transmitted.

Maximize your attractiveness to recruiters

Optimize your Accuracy Score first: Recruiters systematically filter by "Accuracy". Before turning on Open to Work, practice quizzes in your relevant domains to bring up your overall average — a score > 80% drastically increases your visibility.

Unlock Niche Skills: Highly specific skills (e.g., Cloud Security, Rust Programming, Kubernetes) are rarer and therefore more sought after by companies. Focus on specialized learning paths to stand out in your field.

Diversify your Validated Skills: A profile with skills in multiple complementary domains (e.g., AWS + Python + Security) attracts a broader range of recruiters. Explore Raid Portals to quickly expand your skill set.

What is Open to Work mode in Skillwaker?

It's an opt-in professional visibility option that allows Skillwaker's partner recruiters to discover your profile anonymously. They see your validated skills, your accuracy score, and your pseudonym (Code Name), but never your real identity. You remain in control of every step of the matching process.

Can my current employer see my profile if I turn on Open to Work?

No. Open to Work protects your identity by default. Your real name, email, and contact info are never shared in search results. Recruiters — including your current employer if they were a partner — only see your stats, validated skills, and pseudonym. It's impossible to link it to your real identity without your explicit consent.

How can a recruiter contact me on Skillwaker?

If a recruiter is interested in your anonymous profile, they send you a connection request via the Skillwaker platform. You receive a notification describing the company and the opportunity. It is only if you explicitly accept this request that your contact info is transmitted to them. In case of refusal or no response, you remain entirely anonymous.

Do I have to pay to use Open to Work?

No. The Open to Work option is available to all users, whether they are Novices (free plan) or Awakened (Premium). It is a feature included in basic Skillwaker access because it benefits both learners and the platform's ecosystem.

How long does it take to appear in recruiter results after activation?

Indexing is instantaneous. As soon as you flip the Open to Work switch in your Settings (Visibility tab), your profile becomes accessible to partner recruiters in their B2B search engine. Similarly, deactivation immediately removes your profile from results.

Can I choose which job types or sectors are visible in my Open to Work profile?

Visibility is based on your validated skills on Skillwaker. Recruiters find you by filtering by skill domain and score — so you are naturally visible in sectors corresponding to your unlocked skills. To target a specific sector, focus your learning on quizzes in that domain and validate as many related skills as possible.
